"Quantico" is set to return with the second wave of its Season 1 in early March. The show is expected to shed light on several cliffhangers and burning questions. Meanwhile, with the return of Ryan Booth's (Jake McLaughlin) ex-wife Hannah (Eliza Coupe), shippers are wondering about Alex (Priyanka Chopra) and Booth's future together. Chopra, the Indian actress playing the leading role in the series, has finally shed some light on Alex and Ryan's romance. She also tells whether Hannah is to blame for issues between the couple or not.

Hannah made her first appearance in "Quantico" Season 1 episode 11 (midseason finale). On New Year's Eve party, Alex saw Ryan and Hannah together. Upset Alex, leaves the party with Liam.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Chopra revealed that Ryan's ex-wife is not what's standing in their way. "The problem actually is not even Hannah, it's what happens with Ryan and Alex after everything they've been through," Chopra said.
"How do they get through? They love each other, but they can't be together because Alex is her own destruction. She's so dark that anything good for her she runs away from," she explained.
It is said that her fear of getting hurt makes her push people away from her. "That's going to be her [down]fall," Chopra added.
However, Ryan and Alex's future together remain uncertain. It is still unknown if the couple will reconcile in "Quantico" Season 1B.
In addition, "Quantico" Season 1B will feature a time jump. As noted by showrunner Joshua Safran in his interview with TV Line, it will be a "significant time jump" of three months featuring the fallout from the second incident of terrorist bombing.
Also, fans can expect to find out what whether anything happened between Alex and Liam on New Year's Eve. Alex's exit with Liam has led to a frenzy of speculations.
"You will get an answer as to what exactly, if anything at all, transpired between Alex and Liam on New Year's Eve," Safran assured.
