Xiaomi released what tech experts could agree, as the thinnest TV monitor in the world with their Mi TV 4. The company presented their new product during the first of CES 2017.
In an article published by Tech Crunch, Xiaomi's new TV is available in sizes 45, 55 and 65 inches. With a width of 4.9 mm, this product is so thin that it is even 30% thinner than the latest iPhone. The company's spokesperson, Hugo Barra, said that one might even find it almost invisible because its side is noticeably thin and virtually, this doesn't even have a bezel.
This TV has a brushed metal cover to make it stand firm and what's fascinating about it is that it is transparent in nature. Its specs include an AI-driven operating system and a PatchWall UI, which suggests millions of movies to viewers residing in China.
The inspiration behind its adaptive grid is some of the layouts of today's modern magazine. Aside from the thinnest of its monitor, there are more interesting qualities that this TV has, which everyone would like. One is the fact that its motherboard and other parts are completely upgradeable. Those parts and more affordable than its display.
As for the price, this would cost a little under $2,000 and it would be available for consumers later this 2017. Unfortunately, this might not be available in the United States, as it is common for Xiaomi to only release their products in China, according to Phandroid.
Tech Radar, on the other hand, is saying that the company has not released an official statement yet on their TV not be available for shipping in the U.S. As of the moment, they are still silent about it, which made the publication think that there could be a chance it might be sold in the U.S. market as well.
