Tom Hiddleston may have just teased a major spoiler for "Thor: Ragnarok" in a recent interview. The actor hinted that Doctor Strange travels to Asgard in the past to help Thor and Loki find their father Odin.
Hiddleston briefly talked about "Thor: Ragnarok" during an interview at the Golden Globe Awards. He mentioned the importance of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in the story, especially in the search for Odin.
"The Night Manager" actor teased that Loki meets up with the Sorcerer Supreme in "Thor: Ragnarok." Hiddleston, who plays Thor's treacherous brother Loki, hinted that Doctor Strange travels to the time when Loki took over Odin's throne.
Of course, fans who followed the "Thor" franchise are familiar with this scene. This happened at the end of "Thor: The Dark World," when Loki disguised himself as Odin and misled his brother. The film ended with a cliffhanger about Odin's whereabouts. Hiddleston teased that Doctor Strange uses his powers to find out what happened to Odin.
"But let's put it this way: Doctor Strange has very intensely cerebral, time-bending powers, and at the end of 'Thor: The Dark World'... Loki's on the throne. What happened to Odin? Maybe Doctor Strange has to help out with that particular conundrum," Hiddleston told MTV.
According to Comicbook, Hiddleston's statement is a hint to what Doctor Strange can do for Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Loki. He could travel back in time in "Thor: Ragnarok" to find out what happened to Odin.
Likewise, it is interesting to point out that the mid-credits scene in "Doctor Strange" hinted this scenario could happen in "Thor: Ragnarok." Thor approached the Sorcerer Supreme for help in finding Odin. In exchange, Thor promised that he and Loki would leave Earth right away as soon as Strange finds their father.
