It appears that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are slowly taking their relationship to the next level as the royal introduces his girlfriend to some members of the family. Reports confirm that the "Suits" actress has met the Duchess of Cambridge for the first time since dating Prince Harry last year.
The Sun reports that Markle met Prince Harry's sister-in-law at the Kensington Palace on Tuesday last week. A source close to the situation says "Kate was really looking forward to meeting Meghan and she knew how important it was to Harry." The source adds that Harry and Kate are really close and that he "values her opinions on girlfriends."
The meeting reportedly went well and Markle was even able to meet Princess Charlotte, daughter of William and Kate and niece of Harry. The actress also gave Kate a leather-bound dream diary as a birthday present, which Kate loved.
Their meeting followed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's romantic holiday in Norway where they saw the Northern Lights, News.come.au reports. "This just shows how serious Harry is. He wants to take their relationship to the next level. They had an amazing time on their trip to the Arctic Circle and Harry had pulled out all the stops," a source reveals.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been dating for a couple of months. They reportedly met at the Invictus Games, a sporting competition hosted by Prince Harry for injured military personnel, on May 2016.
Ever since confirming their relationship, the pair have kept a relatively low profile. They spend most of their dates in London. Markle was in London for the holidays where she watched West End performances of "The Lion King" and "The Curiosu Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" with her royal beau.
Markle currently stars in the sixth season of "Suits" on USA Network.
