The indie scene has always been a surprise in the world of gaming. Small time companies producing big time results. Indie developer Natahem has released its first indie horror game "Your Star" back in Jan. 2. After a few player feedbacks, the team has taken account of these and begun working on the game for a smoother and better gameplay experience.
First, what is "Your Star"? Natahem's official website can answer that in a statement below:
"'Your Star' is a RPG-Adventure-Exploration game, developed with Game Maker for Windows systems. It is based on hand-made drawings on paper, giving it a unique visual and atmosphere.
In the game, you control a young boy who needs to explore a strange mansion to find his sister and escape the place. But the house is haunted by Shadows and you have to fight them on your way."
The young boy also has a teddy bear with him to keep him company. Other than that, the toy can provide him light to illuminate the dark areas in the mansion. However, monsters of the shadows are attracted to the source of light challenging the players to moderately use the item when needed.
"Your Star" is an interesting combination of exploration, horror, adventure, and puzzle solving. Numerous riddles can be found in the in the mansion and players can find and unlock them to improve their stats.
Players also have two attributes to aid in the boy's survival. The first is Mind which can be "a resistance to madness" and the next is Will, which gives them the "strength to fight the Shadows."
