The midseason of "Lucifer" Season 2 finally brings Chloe Decker and Lucifer Morningstar even closer together. Series creator Joe Henderson confirmed they become very intimate in the remaining two episodes before the winter finale.
Henderson revealed a bit of spoilers for "Lucifer" Season 2 in a recent interview. He answered the "will they, won't they" question surrounding Lucifer and Chloe's relationship. The showrunner confirmed that the crime partners finally go beyond being professional in the midseason.
"Let's say that there is a scene between Lucifer and Chloe that is very hot and steamy...we will see the two of them get the closest they have ever been," Henderson told TV Insider.
Likewise, co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich hinted to this scene in an interview with TV Line. He said that as fan-service, the midseason will "just go at it" when it comes to Lucifer and Chloe finally getting it on.
Regardless, he teased that their relationship is also in jeopardy. After all, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) will not stop manipulating both Chloe and Lucifer until she gets what she wants, which is to get back to Heaven. She believes that the detective is the key to her return to the Silver City, since Chloe is a gift from God.
Meanwhile, the trailer for "Lucifer" Season 2 episode 12 hints to the hot and steamy encounter between Chloe and Lucifer. The trailer below for the episode titled "Love Handles," teased Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer (Tom Ellis) are about to end up in bed together.
Of course, what premeditated the steamy session is the kiss that Lucifer and Chloe shared in the midseason premiere. In "Lucifer" Season 2 episode 11, "Stewardess Interruptus," Chloe broke her reservations about her feelings towards the Lux owner. She initiated the kiss, which caught the devil off-guard. The episode ended with the pair sharing a kiss on the beach.
