'Paris Games Week' is an international trade fair for video games to be held from October 27 to October 31, 2016.

Blizzard Entertainmnent will further foster its fair competion for its “Overwatch” game by banning players who use nuking cheat. Blizzard vows to take cheating seriously, and last year, it sued the Germany company famous for making “Overwatch” cheats .

In an official statement as quoted by Kotaku, Blizzard said the decision to ban of players who used the cheat is taken to ensure the fairness and maximum fun for the multiplayer gaming experience. The company considered nuking as the DDoS because it targeted the IP to slow down the matches, and they hope the method will not be widepspread.

“We view ‘nuking’ or DDoS attacks the same way we view any other form of hacking or cheating,” read the statement. “We are currently taking action against those who use these tactics to create an unfair latency advantage. We are also constantly working to improve our anti-hack and anti-cheat methods.”

Priot to the implementation of the policy, Blizzard Korea was reported to have already banned over 10,000 players for cheating in Korea. However, the cheaters have tried different method by using VPN and playing using another account.

In an effort to create a fair competition among the gamers, Blizzard Entertainment has taken swift action last year. The company sued German company Bossland GMBH, a well-known as “Overwatch” cheatmaker for copyright infringement and unfair competition as reported by Game Spot. The lawsuit was filed on July 1 in federal court in California.

“Overwatch” is the fourth major game franchise from the Blizzard Entertainment after Warcraft, Star Craft and Diablo. The California-based game maker introduced “Overwatch” in 2014 during the annual company’s game convention BlizzCon on Nov. 7. The game had been highly anticipated since then until the release in July 2016.

Gamers praised the first person shooter for its accessibility and exciting gameplay. However, as popular game, “Overwatch” are proned to cheats which are made and deployed by players who played from PC. That made game developers had to work harder to reduce the possibility of cheats.
