"Blindspot" Season 2 brings Nas Kamal and Kurt Weller apart. Their conflicting decisions on how to deal with Roman, Jane's brother, lead to fallout in their relationship.
Series creator Martin Gero says that Nas (Archie Panjabi) and Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) are not in the best place in their relationship in the remaining episodes of "Blindspot" Season 2. They are constantly at odds with each other, especially when it comes to decisions about Roman's fate with the FBI.
The showrunner adds that Nas and Weller find themselves occasionally disagreeing with each other. Weller's decisions are largely based on what Jane believes is best for Roman (Luke Mitchell). Meanwhile, Nas does not share the same sentiment when it comes to the former Sandstorm member, whom she still considers as a terrorist.
"So they [Jane and Weller] become a very unified team going forward on how they think what's best, how's best to deal with the fact that they're totally in the dark now, how to use Roman, and I think that rubs Nas the wrong way," Gero tells TV Guide.
However, Nas does not take their disagreements personally. Still, they cause a friction within the team and her relationship with Weller. They may just bring Nas and Weller apart in "Blindspot" Season 2.
Aside from their conflicting decisions, Nas also has to consider Weller's feelings for Jane. The midseason of "Blindspot" Season 2 brings the agents closer together again. Gero confirms in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, that the second half of the season brings Weller and Jane's relationship on the road to recovery.
Of course, their reunion brings back old buried feelings. Gero hints that Nas may have to step back when this happens. He confirms that Weller and Jane's relationship and friendship "really blossoms" in the second half of "Blindspot" Season 2.
