Fans of "Gears of War 4" may not just be too happy to play the game last weekend. As most players know, GOW4 servers tend to been down most of the time. On the other hand, The Coalition is quick to provide fixes to such issues and rewards their players instead with weekend events. This coming weekend, the game's developer will be rolling out another Double XP event to make up for server issues during the past week.
'Gears of War 4' Onyx Gold Gear pack and extended XP event
According to SegmentNext, the Onyx Gold Gear pack was supposed to be available only for season pass owners. Instead, a public playlist was released this Tuesday following The Coalition's announcement together with the extended double XP weekend event for "Gears of War 4."
But once the new pack went up in GOW 4, the servers went into trouble and posted errors that players cannot get in. Even worse, the repeated errors prevent players from joining matches. Some were able to connect to the servers but were kicked out as soon as they got in. Others have been luckier to be able to play but that seems to be the end of their luck given that the faulty servers did not allow them to get any rewards for all the effort they put into the gameplay.
Due to these many issues, The Coalition decided to move forward with the extended weekend event providing double XPs to players. The extended weekend event would be another day to take advantage though for players who do not want to spend money on earning cards to customize and further play sessions.
'Gears of War 4' players will get their lost rewards in due time
Thankfully, the server issues last week have already been fixed. "Gears of War 4" is back again and players have no problem playing the game. However, the downtime from the last weekend definitely affected the game progress of players especially those who did not receive any reward for their efforts. Windows Report has learned that The Coalition is already working through its game queues. This is to ensure that players who have not received the rewards they duly earned last week will get it by the week's end before the weekend event. There is no confirmation yet as to when the double XP event will begin and end. Hopefully, "Gears of War 4" developer will share the exact time when everything will start so that gamers can start gaining more XPs into the game.
