Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna wed on Saturday, and fans were surprised to see Maine Mendoza without Alden Richards at the reception.
According to PEP.ph, Richards and Mendoza were both present during the ceremony. In fact, the onscreen couple was also assigned to do the offering.
However, Mendoza was the only one who went to the reception and Richards decided to leave immediately after the ceremony ended.
On her Twitter account, Yaya Dub defended Richards by saying that he really wanted to be at the reception, but something came up.
"He really wanted to stay the whole time but something came up so he wasn't able to make it to the reception. No nega na, please?" she tweeted.
Meanwhile, there are also some speculations that Richards may have missed Sotto and Luna's reception because he still needed to rehearse for his performance on "Sunday Pinasaya" the day after.
Following his dance performance on the show, Richards received a triple platinum award for his album "Wish I May." His single by the same title also received a platinum award.
In other news, photos from Sotto and Luna's wedding ceremony and reception were really posted by guests via their respective social media accounts.
"Eat Bulaga" host Allan K shared photos of Mendoza and Richards with their offering in hand. He captioned the snap, "Happy."
Allan K was also photographed with Ai Ai de las Alas and her much younger boyfriend.
He wrote, "Busy kami sa church."
Another photo showed Mendoza and Richards walking to go to the Sotto and Luna.
"My favorite couple @mainedcm and @aldenrichards02 proceeds to the altar as part of the offertory ceremony. #MrAndMrsSotto #Aldub," he wrote.
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach also shared some photos before and after the wedding ceremony.
