David Ayer opened up his opinions on Jan. 21 about the recent success of his movie, "Suicide Squad." It was a reply from another Twitter follower that the director ended sharing both the positive and negative things he has experienced when directing the said movie.

In an article published by Comic Book, a Twitter fan who goes by the username of PensFanBoy, tweeted Ayer just to send him some message of gratitude for directing "Suicide Squad." He called it a masterpiece. Little did he expect that the world-class would reply to him with some revelation that the public was also surprised to find out.

There is no doubt that he was very happy with the success of the movie. "Suicide Squad" became a box office not only in the U.S. but in many countries around the world. Despite it being commercially successful, as it has indeed made a huge amount of sales, Ayer still has one regret when he directed the movie.

According to Inverse, Ayer's response was more than just grateful but it was also honest and humbled from all the praises and criticisms that he got from directing the movie. He was honest enough to tell the world that he wished he has a time machine so he could make the character of the Joker, as the main villain. He also thought that he could've engineered a more grounded plot for the film him but everything was a learning process.

It is also inspiring how the 49-year-old director shared his humble beginnings on Twitter saying he was a high school drop out and he made a living through painting houses before he became huge. He couldn't feel luckier now that he gets to do what he loves to do and that is to direct amazing movies funded by huge Hollywood studio companies.
