Sacramento is somewhat on a roll right now, winning three of their last four games. As a result, the team has climbed to 10th in the West, two-and-a-half games behind current eighth-seeded squad Denver Nuggets.
The Kings are coming off a 109-106 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on the road at the Spectrum Center last Saturday, as per the Sacramento Bee.
DeMarcus Cousins led head coach Dave Joerger' squad with a huge double-double of 35 points and 18 rebounds. He also had four assists and one blocked shot.
Darren Collison added 17 points and two assists while Arron Afflalo had 13 points, two boards, and four assists.
Off the bench, Anthony Tolliver and Willie Cauley-Stein netted 14 and 13 points respectively and have combined for 10 rebounds.
Small forwards Rudy Gay and Omri Casspi are still out with separate injuries with Garrett Temple presently filling-in in the starting lineup.
Meanwhile, the Sixers have lost two straight games after winning their previous two. They are now second to the last place in the East with the Miami Heat jumping over them in the standings.
Philadelphia lost a lopsided game to the Chicago Bulls, 121-108, on the road at the United Center on Sunday night, USA Today reported.
Veteran power forward Ersan Ilyasova had a monster double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds in the absence of starting center and leading scorer Joel Embiid. Embiid is still questionable in this game versus the Kings with knee soreness.
Robert Covington also had a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards along with three assists, three steals, and three shot blocks. Nik Stauskas added 15 points and three assists while TJ McConnell chipped in 14 points and 12 assists.
Nerlens Noel, who started in place of Embiid, had 12 points, six boards, two assists, two steals, and three blocked shots.
Prediction
The Kings are 11-15 on the road this season while the Sixers are also 11-15 at home so far. It would be a close contest, but Philly is at a disadvantage without Embiid. Sacramento is predicted to win.
