Playing the role of a virgin ghost in the recently ended fantasy drama "Goblin," Park Kyung Hye shared how Gong Yoo made her birthday extra special.
The Korean actress admitted she only had few scenes with Gong Yoo in "Goblin." However, Park Kyung Hye revealed her one fangirl moment while filming for the drama series.
"We filmed once on my birthday. Kim Go Eun sunbae told Gong Yoo sunbae that it was my birthday," she said as per Allkpop.
Park Kyung Hye added, "He told me happy birthday and gave me a handshake, so I was able to spend a very thankful birthday. It was a more valuable gift than anything else."
The actress added she is grateful to be given the opportunity to work with the actor for "Goblin." Meanwhile, Gong Yoo and Kim Go Eun nabbed the top spots for January brand reputation ranking as per Soompi.
The 37-year-old actor secured the number one spot with a slight lead from his co-star who took the second place. Aside from their individual achievements as actors, "Goblin" dethroned "Reply 1988" as the new highest rated tvN drama after airing its final episode last Jan. 21.
Not only that, the fantasy drama is getting more popular in Asia as well as in the United States. In fact, several start-up sites have been selling "Goblin" merchandise to meet the demands from the fans.
On the other hand, Gong Yoo was recently spotted in Australia after the drama series wrapped up. Reports stated the actor stayed in the country for a few days to film a CF for a coffee brand.
Videos of his Sydney visit have gone viral, proving why Gong Yoo was branded as the second hottest star on the 2nd half of 2016. The actor was even seen at a Korean restaurant in the country, where he got swarmed by his fans.
