Multi-Grammy winner Celine Dion joins Gwen Stefani's team as an advisor in the Emmy-winning singing competition "The Voice" Season 12 for NBC. There are definitely two queens in one team.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Dion announced that she will be joining "The Voice" for Team Gwen as the top adviser when the Battles commence this Season 12. She was initially scheduled to appear alongside Stefani on the "TODAY" show on Jan. 27, which was pushed to Jan. 28 due to coverage of Mary Tyler Moore's passing.
Stefani rejoins "The Voice" Season 12 as a judge after her previous stints on Seasons 7 and 9, Deadline reported. She takes over the chair from Miley Cyrus. Cyrus served for her first time as a judge on Season 11 and will be back for Season 13.
Dion is a five-time Grammy winner and remains the best-selling Canadian artist. She is one of the bestselling artists of all time with record sales of over 200 million copies worldwide. She recently returned to the stage at The Colosseum at Ceasar's Palace for her Las Vegas residency and will be touring Europe in the summer of this year to perform 16 shows across 14 cities, including Sweden, Denmark, UK, Germany, and Switzerland, during June and July.
For movies, Dion is also making a Disney comeback by performing a new song, "How Does a Moment Last Forever," on the soundtrack to the live-action film "Beauty and the Beast," starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, and Luke Evans. It has been more than 25 years after she first sang the title track of the animated original back in 1991.
Disney also confirmed earlier this month that Ariana Grande and John Legend are teaming up to be part of the soundtrack for "Beauty and the Beast." The 1991 animated film adaptation posters were released last week for all the main stars, namely, Watson as Belle, Stevens as the Beast and the Prince, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. It comes out on March 17.
"The Voice" Season 12 premieres on Feb. 27 with returning judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys, and Stefani.
