Following the success of his recent drama, more and more women are drawn to Gong Yoo. In fact, a survey revealed the "Goblin" actor as women's top pick for a Valentine's Day date.
According to Soompi, an online survey was conducted by PMI among 2,050 women (20 to 50 years old) to come up with a list of male celebrities they would like to date on Feb. 14.
Results revealed 20 percent of the respondents chose Gong Yoo, securing the top spot of the ranking. Tailing at number two was Park Bo Gum with 12 percent. The 23-year-old actor recently starred in "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds," where he played the male lead.
Other actors who made it on the list were "Descendants of the Sun" actor Song Joong Ki with 8.1 percent, "Goblin" actor Lee Dong Wook with 7.8 percent, and "Master" actor Kang Dong Won with 7.3 percent.
Gong Yoo's selection can be attributed to his commendable performance in "Goblin." Previously, he was voted as the second hottest star during the second half of 2016 as per Allkpop.
The "Goblin" actor fell behind Park Bo Gum who dominated the ranking by Good Data Corporation. The two actors were joined by Lee Jong Suk who ranked third for his role in "W - Two Worlds."
After the tvN drama, Gong Yoo has been busy doing photoshoots here and there. The 37-year-old actor was even featured in the February edition of High Cut magazine, where he displayed a laidback look.
Not only that, the "Goblin" actor also went to Sydney, Australia to shoot a commercial film for a coffee brand. Photos and videos of his visit in the country proved Gong Yoo's popularity even outside Korea.
In fact, some K-Pop idols have also expressed their admiration towards Gong Yoo. Among these idols were Red Velvet members who named the actor as their ideal type.
