Some news hints of the latest Samsung flagship phone is revealed. The new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will have two different battety capacities and new AI technology from Samsung.
Samsung is reported to prepare a two different models Galaxy S8, they are the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus. Differences between the two are in screen size and battery capacity as reported by GSM Arena. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a 5.8” screen with 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 Plus will be a 6.2” in screen size and pack a 3,500mAh battery.
Battery size for the new Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is very important, due to the latest battery problem with Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Galaxy S8 Plus batery capacity is smaller by 100mAh compared to that of Galaxy Note 7. The smaller size seem to be Samsung's precautious step to increase safety procedure for Galaxy S8.
Another details also hinted by Korean news agency Kyung Hyang, which found the leaked of the latest smartphone from Samsung and LG. Samsung’s competitor, LG will officially launch its new flagship phone, the G6 at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in February.
On the other hand, Samsung will not reveal the Galaxy S8 at the MWC, but a month later in March. Galaxy S8 will also have its own artificial intelligence technology called Bixby.
Samsung accelerated its artificial intelligence initiative by acquiring the AI company Viv last year. Afterward, Samsung tried to integrate the advanced AI technology into its Galaxy series.
Founders of Viv are the creator of Siri, the AI technology from Apple. Now they join Samsung to create a more advanced artificial intelligence technology for Galaxy S8. Bixby is reported to be able to use camera as its eye and search the object captured in the camera.
