Namgoong Min recently held a live broadcast on his Naver app channel to entertain questions from his fans. Aside from queries regarding his ongoing drama, "Chief Kim," the Korean actor also received questions about his personal life.
When asked about his habit of exercising, Namgoong Min candidly shared the reason why he has to include work out in his routine. "I look fine on the outside, but I actually have a cervical herniated disc and a lumbar herniated disc," he said as per Soompi.
"If I don't exercise, it's so painful that it's unbearable," the actor continued, revealing that he has his own gym at home where he works out almost every day.
Despite his hectic schedule, the 38-year-old "Chief Kim" star said he exercises for 10 to 15 minutes after a long day of filming. Namgoong Min added he usually do deadlifts before going to sleep
Meanwhile, the actor has been receiving good reviews for his acting in "Chief Kim." In fact, the KBS drama continues to dominate the Wednesday-Thursday late night time slot against contenders "Saimdang, Light's Diary" and "Missing Nine."
According to Korea Herald, the sixth episode of the KBS drama earned a nationwide viewership rating of 16.7 percent, surpassing SBS and MBC with 12 and 4.4 viewership ratings, respectively.
Namgoong Min promised to work even harder as a way to repay his fans for their support. "All of the cast and crew of "Chief Kim" will do our best to repay our viewers, so please continue to give us your love and attention," he added.
The actor plays the role of Kim Sung Ryong in the KBS drama series. Namgoong Min shares the small screen with Nam Sang Mi, Lee Jun Ho, and Jung Hye Sung for "Chief Kim."
