Kim Hyun Joong is living up to his promise that he will be back with some good news after he was discharged from the military last Saturday. In fact, the singer-actor has already set the date for his first comeback activity.
According to Allkpop, the "Boys over Flowers" actor is set to hold a fan meeting event on April 29. The gathering, called "2017 Kim Hyun Joong Fan Meeting Anemone," will mark his first ever fan meeting event in four years.
Reports claimed Kim Hyun Joong's upcoming fan meeting event intends to thank fans for their continuous support despite the hiatus and controversies. Tickets for the gathering will be made available starting March 12.
In a brief statement after his military discharge, the singer-actor expressed his gratitude to fans who came to witness his return. After serving the military for almost two years, Kim Hyun Joong felt like he is "starting the second half of [his] life."
"I still have a lot of worries and fear. However, I felt many things, learned how to overcome, and thought a lot while I was in the army. I hope people will trust me more and watch over me," he said as per Soompi.
Kim Hyun Joong shared that he would like to formally meet his parents now that he is finally done with the mandatory military service. Aside from that, the "Boys over Flowers" actor refused to talk about his future plans, but assured fans that he has something for them.
The 30-year-old singer-actor was welcomed by over 1,500 fans in Gyeonggi-do's Goyang City. Prior to his military discharge, Kim Hyun Joong dedicated a handwritten letter to his family and supporters for believing in him amid legal battle against his ex-girlfriend.
Kim Hyun Joong added he was able to keep going because of their constant support. Hence, he promised to return the favor by meeting them soon.
