Mexican fans of EXO are more than excited for the first solo concert of the popular boy group on April 27. In fact, a Korean business official based in Mexico claimed the excitement of EXO-Ls has been overflowing since the announcement was made.
"EXO is coming in April and this news travelled fast in Mexico. The atmosphere is hot and crazy in not just Mexico but neighboring countries as well," the official commented as per Koreaboo.
On the other hand, a fan warns EXO's agency to hire more security personnel to control the huge number of Mexican fans. "Mexican fans are crazy. I know [because] I'm a fan and also [a] Mexican. Either way you won't stop them," an EXO-L jokingly said.
The nine-member K-Pop band announced their plan to hold a concert series in North America just this month. Reports stated the boy group will staged "EXO PLANET #3 - The EXO'rdium" in New Jersey, California and Mexico.
Billboard stated EXO will kick off their North American concert series at the Prudential Center in Newark on Apr. 25. Their New Jersey show will be followed by their first ever solo concert in Mexico. Meanwhile, the Korean band will take the stage of The Forum in Los Angeles, California on Apr. 28.
The North American leg intends to increase the popularity of K-Pop music across the pond. Likewise, several idols will visit Mexico next month to perform for this year's KCON.
The two-day event scheduled on March 17 to 18 will be the first KCON held in the North American country. K-Pop idols including BTS, ASTRO and Red Velvet are expected to perform during the event.
In a previous interview, EXO's Suho revealed they are scheduled for promotional activities between June and September. "We plan to promote during the summer so we got a lot of free time in January and February," he said.
The EXO member even promised that they will "actively" promote this year as much as they did when the group debuted five years ago.
