A Steroline wedding is definitely happening in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. A behind-the-scenes video for episode 16 shows Candice King, who plays Caroline, wearing a bridal gown.
A fan posted the video (see below) on Tuesday, where it shows King with her co-star Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett) surrounded by the crew. Both appear emotional as they hug each other.
However, it is more interesting to point out the dresses both girls are wearing. King is obviously in a wedding dress. Graham on the other hand, seems to be wearing a gown fit for a maid of honor. According to the fan, this video was taken after the filming of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale.
This video only confirms the long-rumored Steroline wedding happening in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. Fans have since asked to see Caroline and Stefan (Paul Wesley) tie the knot before the show bids goodbye. Apparently, series creator Julie Plec heard and granted fans' request. Caroline definitely looks like she just got married in the video.
Meanwhile, the video also shows Plec speaking to the women. The audio is not audible enough to hear what she is saying, but it seems she is giving her parting words to the two actresses. Plec is also reminiscing the moments she shared with Graham and King on the set of "The Vampire Diaries."
This is not the first time that behind-the-scenes footage subtly confirmed the Steroline wedding in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. TV Line also shared photos from the last day of filming and the images hint to a nuptial happening in the last episode. One photo shows Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (Stefan) in a suit posing against a backdrop of bright lights and a table set for a wedding reception.
Likewise, Plec had since teased that the Steroline wedding happens in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 finale. She told Too Fab that Caroline and Stefan's wedding could happen in February.
