T.O.P is being accused of getting special treatment while serving his military duties. The controversy started when photos of the BIGBANG member surfaced on the internet, showing his improper wearing of the military uniform.

According to Allkpop, netizens, particularly men who have completed the military, expressed their outrage after seeing T.O.P's photo inside the bootcamp. "A non-celebrity would've got in so much trouble for what he did," a commenter wrote, pointing out the idol's mistake in wearing his nametag.

Another netizen said the BIGBANG member would have caused his entire platoon to get in trouble because of his mistake. Amid controversy, a representative from the Nonsan Training Center released a statement to clear things out.

"The 25th regime company 1 division 1 uniforms are supposed to have the name tag on the right side. Trainee Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P) must have been confused and mistakenly wore it on the other side," the rep said.

Despite the special treatment accusation, T.O.P's fans came to rescue their idol from the allegations. Most of them asked the netizens to stop assuming that the BIGBANG member was not reprimanded for his mistake.

On the other hand, BIGBANG just announced their plan to go on tour as a four-member band starting May. Soompi cited the boy group is set to visit Japan for another dome tour.

During their final Seoul concert before T.O.P's enlistment, G-Dragon assured their fans that BIGBANG will continue their promotional activities as a band while their co-member is serving his military duties.

Over 64,000 fans and celebrities gathered at the Gocheok Sky Dome to witness all BIGBANG members in one stage. However, concertgoers turned emotional when the boys started to bid their farewells to T.O.P.

On Feb. 9, T.O.P officially entered the Nonsan Training Center for a four-week basic military training. After that, the BIGBANG member will begin his service as a guard band member at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
