Jang Hyuk has set an impression to his co-actors and fans with his acting in ongoing drama "Voice." However, the Korean star has recently proven that he is not only a good actor, but a person who would go an extra mile to help the less fortunate.
Despite his hectic schedule, Jang Hyuk appeared on the Feb. 17 installment of "This Is My Home" to lend his helping hands in the construction of a house owned by a family. In the interview, the 40-year-old actor shared his father used to work in construction.
Although he admired his father for his profession, the Korean actor refused to take the same path for a profound reason. "It's not because I dislike it, you don't have time to spend with family. He was always overseas working on-site," Jang Hyuk said as per Allkpop.
The "Voice" actor added he rarely had time to bond with his father while he was working in construction. "That's why I always envied families who spent quality time together," he added.
During his guest appearance on "This Is My Home," Jang Hyuk has impressed a construction expert with his knowledge in reconstructing a house. The specialist even described the actor as a "very detail-oriented person."
Aside from his seemingly innate skills in construction, the actor has been receiving praises for his intense scenes in "Voice." In fact, his director commended him for doing almost all of the difficult stunts in the drama.
"Jang Hyuk does most of his own action stunts. He's built up a strong foundation of martial arts skills, and he has a deep affection for the show," Director Kim Hong Sun said as cited by Soompi.
The director also praised Jang Hyuk for his consideration while filming the action series, revealing that the actor does not mind going through some troubles for "Voice."
In the ongoing drama, the actor takes the role of Moo Jin Hyuk, who is the team leader of 112 call center's Golden Time Dispatch. Catch "Voice" every Saturday and Sunday on OCN.
