NBA Trade Rumors: Celtics still aims to land Jimmy Butler in Boston

Boston Celtics is reported to continue looking for the trade opportunity with Chicago Bulls for Jimmy Butler. The Celtics is interested to get Butler to fortify its defensive end, and it has a high first round draft picks that may interest the Bulls.

The Celtics does not feel the necessity to pursue the trade, according to Boston Globe, but the management does not have objection to have another player with great defensive skill. Other teams have also approached Chicago Bulls to trade its wing player, but Celtics is reported to be the most suitable trading partner.

Trade between Celtics and Bulls is a feasible one, according to USA Today. However, the trade may not materialize as the Celtics will not let go its first round draft picks.

Moreover, Butler is the valuable player for Chicago Bulls after Derrick Rose departed to New York with his leadership skill. He also invited Dwyane Wade to join him in Chicago. With his persuasive skills, Butler made Wade made an important decision to leave Miami Heat and return to his hometown in Chicago last summer.

As for his statistics, Butler improved his offensive trait this season. He averages 20.9 points, 4.8 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game. Chicago Bulls is now 28-29 and has a two winning streak after winning two home games against Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics.

The 6’7” small forward has decided to want to end his career with Chicago Bulls. He has been with the Bulls since his first year of professional career in 2011 when Chicago Bulls drafted him as the 30th overall picks. He has been in many ups and downs in Chicago, and he has shown a great deal of commitment to Chicago Bulls and its fans.
