GOT7 member Park Jinyoung is paving his way to the big screen with "A Stray Goat." Although he does think that dramas and movies are alike, the singer-actor admitted he worried about playing his role in the film.
"Though they're shot in different ways, I think they're fundamentally quite similar in terms of acting, so I'm not too nervous about this being my first movie," Park Jinyoung said as per Soompi.
He added his only concern is playing "quite a big role" in "A Stray Goat." Hence, the GOT7 member relied on his director and co-star Ji Woo for this project. When asked about his experience, the singer-actor shared filming for the movie was a fun experience.
For "A Stray Goat," Park Jinyoung takes the role a teenager named Min Sik, who often gets bullied by his schoolmates. Although he injured himself after being beaten up in the movie, the GOT7 member praised his co-actors for making the scenes realistic.
"I did my best to give them a good reaction and got hit as much as I needed to. It went well because it didn't actually hurt when they hit me," he assured his fans.
Aside from Park Jinyoung and Ji Woo, "A Stray Goat" will also feature Kim Ki Ju in his villainous role as Nam Gon. During a V Live broadcast, the GOT7 idol hinted about his sufferings in the hands of the rival.
"This guy beats me up many times in the film," Park Jinyoung said as cited by Korea Herald. On the other hand, his GOT7 co-members jokingly cheered him up against Kim Ki Ju.
Before he pursued music, Park Jinyoung initially made his acting debut with "Dream High 2" in 2011. A year later, he formed a duo called JJ Project with JB. The two singers later joined GOT7 alongside five other members.
Catch Park Jinyoung as he makes his film debut with "A Stray Goat" starting March 1.
