JYP Entertainment formally released a statement to update fans on Jun. K's condition after he encountered an accident on yesterday's show. As per label, the 2PM member suffered from fractured bones after falling off a moving stage.
"Jun. K was immediately transferred to the hospital and received a thorough examination. The examination results showed that he has suffered from fractures in his right elbow and also in the 4th finger on his right hand," JYP Entertainment said as cited by Allkpop.
The agency added Jun. K will be provided with the appropriate medical treatment to recover from the injuries. For the meantime, the 2PM member is currently resting under the supervision of staff.
In the same statement, JYP Entertainment apologized to the boy group and their fans for "not guaranteeing the safety" of 2PM's "6 Nights" concert. The agency promised to keep the fans posted on Jun. K's health condition.
2PM's label continued that they will learn from the incident and vowed to take precautionary measures to avoid this kind of accident in the future. Following Jun. K's mishap, JYP Entertainment has yet to decide about the group's scheduled concert shows.
"6 Nights" is a six-part concert series which began on Feb. 24, with yesterday as the third. The boy group is still scheduled to perform at the Seoul Olympic on Mar. 3, 4 and 5.
On yesterday's show, hundreds of fans inside the gymnasium have witnessed Jun. K's 9-foot drop from moving platforms. Koreaboo cited 2PM was getting ready for their "Hands Up" performance when the idol suddenly fell off the stage.
Jun. K was immediately rushed to the hospital on a stretcher, leaving his fans in shock and anxiety. The third day of "6 Nights" concert series was then cancelled and JYP Entertainment reportedly stated they will refund the tickets.
Fans of 2PM have been sending their well-wishes to the idol with the use of hashtags #GetWellSoonJunK and #PrayForJunK.
