Jamie Lynn Spear's daughter Maddie Aldridge has fully recovered from her injuries sustained in the almost fatal ATV accident on Feb. 5. This means that the 8-year-old is out of danger and already home from the hospital.
Maddie was severely hurt earlier this month when the ATV she was driving swerved and went straight to the nearby pond. She was submerged in water for about two minutes before paramedics arrived on the scene and resuscitated her.
Jamie Lynn Spear and her partner saw the whole incident but they were not able to get the girl out because she was firmly strapped to the ATV with a seatbelt. Plus, there was also a safety net around her, thus Maddie was only saved when the rescuers came.
The girl was immediately airlifted to a medical facility as she was already in critical condition. Jamie Lynn and her older sister Britney Spears asked people for prayers as Maddie, who was unconscious, fights for her life.
Two days later, it was reported that Jamie Lynn's daughter finally woke up. It can be assumed that since then, her recovery process has been swift. Now, on Feb. 26, Jamie Lynn tweeted "Blessed to say my daughter has fully recovered & returned to her normal activities. It's my first day back to work. love y'all #Godisgood."
Britney Spears sister also thank the paramedics who responded to their emergency call and the medical teams at the University and Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA. She also expressed how grateful she was to everyone who prayed with them.
Lastly, on her Instagram, Lynn Spears, Maddie's grandma, also posted a message of thanks to those who sent well wishes and prayers for her granddaughter. "I really don't know how to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have prayed continuous prayers for Maddie at this very difficult time!" she wrote.
