KCON USA announced on Thursday that K-pop boy band quintet SHINee together with rookie girl group I.O.I. will be coming to Los Angeles for the annual convention of South Korean pop culture in July.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, SHINee will headline the Los Angeles leg of KCON USA presented by Toyota at the Korea Times Festival. This will be the group's first US performance since 2014.

SHINee is a multitalented band that has successfully released numerous top-grossing albums over the past eight years. The group recently debuted its latest album Odd, featuring the single View, which introduced tropical house sound to the world of KPOP.

Joining the group are hip hop band BTS and the Girls' Generation spinoff TTS. Other confirmed acts include Block B, pop groups Gfriend and Twice, balladeers CN Blue, and rising stars Astro and Dean, the LA Times reported.

Aside from performers, famous Korean drama actor Yim Si Wan from Moon Embracing the Sun and actress Park Bo Young from Oh My Ghostess will also be gracing the New York date.

KCON has become the world's biggest Korean-culture festival. According to Fuse, KCON announced in March that the upcoming three-day event will include workshops, artist meet-and-greets, and convention fun "along with two days of concert to its original LA location, and grow to two days of convention and concerts in New York."

KCON New York's tickets are currently on sale. The vent will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on June 24 and 25. Meanwhile, passes for KCON LA will hit ticket booths on June 3. The LA show will be between July 29 and 31 at Los Angeles' famed Staples Center. Single tickets are sold between $50 and $250, while platinum tickets are priced at $800, inclusive of an access to all concerts and conventions.
