Lee Jong Suk turned down an offer to play the lead role for an upcoming movie, titled "Dream," directed by the infamous Lee Byeong Heon known for his creations "Twenty" and "Be Positive."
The actor, who is currently filming his newest drama with Suzy, reportedly declined the acting project due to its new schedule. "His appearance was never confirmed," YG Entertainment said as per Allkpop.
The agency continued, "He was in the process of review. It's not that his appearance got canceled. He declined the offer. A change occurred in the schedule for 'Dream' and he politely declined."
Lee Byeong Heon is an award-winning director notable for his 2015 film "Twenty" which tells the story of three male students who just graduated from high school. These three characters were played by Kim Woo Bin, Kang Ha Neul, and Junho of 2PM.
Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk is currently caught up with the filming of "While You Were Sleeping," a fantasy romance that centers on the life of a woman who has the ability to foresee future accidents through her dreams.
The female lead, named Nam Hong Jun, will be played by Suzy, while Lee Jong Suk takes the role of Jung Jae Chan, a rookie prosecutor who will try to prevent these accidents from happening in the present.
Soompi cited the two actors were recently spotted filming at a café in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province where they both appeared to be comfortable around each other. At some point, Suzy was even captured fixing the hair of her leading man.
The miss A member channeled her short hair which obviously was intended for her character in "While You Were Sleeping." Joining them for the upcoming drama are Lee Sang Yeob, Jung Hae In, Kim Min Jae, Park Jin Joo, Ko Sung Hee, Shin Jae Ha, and Min Sung Uk.
"While You Were Sleeping" is directed by Oh Choong Hwan who was the brain behind "Doctors" and "My Love from the Star." The series will take the Wednesday-Thursday 11:00 p.m. time slot of SBS in the second of the year.
