From seeing her onstage performing 2NE1's hit songs, Sandara Park or Dara is now ready to take the big screens for her movie debut with "One Step" and upcoming film adaptation of "Cheese in the Trap."
However, the singer-turned-actress would like to keep her label as a 2NE1 member even after taking another path following the girl group's disbandment last year.
"I don't want to forget it. I was actually living in tears for the past couple of months," she told Tenasia as per Allkpop. When the group disbanded, it felt like breaking up in a relationship."
Sandara even admitted she initially thought it was totally over between her and the girls after the split. "Now that I think about it, I still keep in touch with the 2NE1 members the most," she said.
The 2NE1 member added their friendship did not changed even after they parted ways. In fact, the girls have been cheering for each other's career now that they are taking different paths.
In a separate interview, Sandara clarified rumors claiming that the 2NE1 members are not in good terms with former co-member Gong Minzy. Soompi cited the "One Step" star reiterated their friendship is still intact even until now.
"If you only know about what happened through news articles, I think it's easy to misunderstand what happened. But we haven't really noticed a huge change in our own personal relationships," she told the press.
Sandara added Gong Minzy did not forget to send her support even though the former 2NE1 member could not make it on the premiere of "One Step." She even recalled what her former co-member told her during their trainee days.
"Gong Minzy told me at the time that playing the guitar fit me and that's when I realized that she was a friend that really knew me well," she said.
