Lee Sung Kyung has found that fame comes with a hefty price. After playing the lead role in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," the model-turned-actress admitted she barely had the chance for some alone time.
In the accompanying interview of her "W" issue, Lee Sung Kyung shared about her vacation in Paris where she managed to escape from the spotlight. "I had time for myself that I could never have had in Korea," she said as per Soompi.
She went on, "In Korea, I felt that even when I was alone, someone was watching me. I couldn't lose them. My time in Paris was healing itself."
Her character in "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" was a breakthrough for Lee Sung Kyung's acting career. It was also her first lead role in drama series.
Before MBC's come-of-age drama, the model-turned-actress appeared in "Cheese in the Trap" and "Doctors" where she played the second lead roles. Unlike her chic characters in both dramas, Lee Sung Kyung revealed she is more laid-back in real life.
The 26-year-old star previously shared she is more comfortable hanging out with guys which often leads to dating rumors. Contrary to reports, Lee Sung Kyung clarified she is not dating anyone at the moment.
"If I'm so much as walking with a friend, the dating rumors are everywhere, so I have to be particularly careful," she said.
The "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" star added it is impossible to be in a relationship now that is under the radar. "There are so many rumors about me and male models and other men that I know."
"It feels like I'm dating hundreds of people at once. It's absolutely exhausting," Lee Sung Kyung candidly said.
Previously, the model-turned-actress was linked to Block B's Zico. However, Lee Sung Kyung was quick to deny dating rumors and said that she would rather stay single. Zico, on the other hand, admitted he was offended of the way the actress denied the reports as per Allkpop.
"She did it in a way like she extremely disliked me. Because she did it in a way like, "Uch Zico." She could have said I'm a cool friend, right?" the Block B member explained.
