JYP Entertainment's contract with Miss A's Min will expire this month, and the singer has not made any decision to renew her contract yet.
On April 7, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Min's contract with the agency will expire before the month ends, and that both parties are still discussing her contract renewal. According to allkpop, Min is currently performing in the "Boys Over Flowers" musical, and an update on her contract will be revealed soon.
Suzy's contract with JYP Entertainment expired on March 30, and the singer-actress chose not to re-sign with the agency. She is currently filming the upcoming SBS drama series "While You Were Asleep" and it is said that she's still being accompanied by a manager from JYP.
For now, only Jia is the only member of Miss A who is sure to stay longer in JYP Entertainment as she renewed her contract with the agency last year.
With Min's contract about to expire and Suzy not looking to renew any time soon, there has been a lot of speculation regarding Miss A's status. There are rumors that Miss A is disbanding soon primarily due to the fact that the group is no longer complete.
Last year, Jia departed the agency and focused on building a solo career in China. At the time of Jia's exit, JYP Entertainment, however, stated that they have no plans to disband Miss A.
Another reasons that sparked Miss A disbandment rumors is the fact that the group's poster no longer appears on the front portion of JYP Entertainment's headquarters where the agency showcases posters of all their artists.
"While there aren't any plans for an album or comeback activities for some time, the three members will focus on individual activities," the agency said, as quoted by Soompi.
Miss A has not released a new album since they dropped "Hush" in 2013. Since then, the members have been focusing on solo activities in music, dramas and theater.
