Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi is set to star in another Hollywood movie.
The 37-year-old star will be among a team of astronauts and scientists who will be sent on a mission to outer space in "God Particle", Hollywood Reporter revealed.
In the upcoming sci-fi project from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions, the Beijing-born actress will be joining David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O'Dowd, Daniel Bruhl and Elizabeth Debicki, who have already confirmed their participation.
Before this commitment, Zhang Ziyi was set to star in "The Great Wall" with Matt Damon. The release date of the movie has been pushed to Feb. 17, 2017, from Nov. 23, 2016.
The reason behind the postponement of the premiere of "The Great Wall" has not been cited. Directed by Zhang Yimou of "The House of Flying Daggers," the American-Chinese 3D science fantasy adventure action film is said to be the largest movie ever filmed in China.
Aside from doing a new movie from time to time, Zhang is also busy being a mom to her daughter with husband, Wang Feng.
Zhang announced the birth of her first child last year.
"December 27th, 2015, you, me, her ... With the birth of this little life, we have our own family," Zhang captioned her first family photo.
