Syfy has committed to renews its magician story and "The Magicians" Season 3 will begin the production as soon as the season finale next Wednesday. The new season will have Quentin to encounter a new and very powerful enemy.
Season 2 finale will air Wednesday, April 19 on Syfy and "The Magicians" Season 3 will begin production. According to Deadline, Syfy has already ordered "The Magicians" Season 3 for 13 episodes that slated to air in 2018.
"The Magicians" has built a strong viewership rating in its Season 2 with an average 13.2 percent increase in ratings. The highest increase was achieved in the age group 18 to 34 years old, with 23 percent increase, thus strengthening the branding of the series as "Harry Potter for grown-ups." Therefore, Syfy will continue to appease its viewers by preparing "The Magicians" Season 3.
"The Magicians" is adapted from the novel by Lev Grossman, published by Viking Press in 2009. Grossman later wrote two sequels to his novel titled "The Magician King" and "The Magician's Land." The story follows a young man named Quentin Coldwater who enrolls at the Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy to learn magic.
Quentin established a group of young magicians with his friends, and they enter the mysterious enchanted realm of Fillory as noted by Variety. They experienced many interesting thing and met dangerous villain. In "The Magicians" Season 3, Quentin and his friends will meet another very powerful villain.
Cast members of the series are Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta, Summer Bishil, Rick Worthy, and Jade Tailor. Together they formed a pact and dared themselves to explore the magic world with their rudimentary magic skills. They will return to the "The Magicians" Season 3, which will also be produced by Universal Cable Productions.
