The latest survey from License Global magazine reported that The Pokemon Company and its "Pokemon" franchise has received a total amount of sales of $3.3 billion in 2016. The company ranked at 19th place among the Top 150 Global Licensor, just below the NFL that generated $3.5 billion. The number one position is held by The Walt Disney Company with $56.6 billion.
The Pokemon Company has made a significant climb from the list, according to Game Rant. In the previous year, the company ranked at 29th position, generating total sales of $2.1 billion. In 2016, the company made a big profit with "Pokemon Go" augmented reality mobile game, which has been downloaded 650 million times and other "Pokemon licensed product.
"Pokemon" is one of the best-selling video game franchise from The Pokemon Company. The game has captivated video gamers around the world and becoming a cult since the first time it was released.
