South Korean model and actress Lee Sung Kyung’s career has undeniably blossomed after her lead role in the romantic comedy series “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo”. However, it appears that the star still refused to believe her that she is already among the famous Hallyu stars in the industry.
In her recent interview with fashion and lifestyle magazine “Grazia”, the 26-year-old star believes that she is still on the dawn of her career and that claiming stardom seems too early at the moment. She also expressed her gratitude to her past projects which brought her to her current stature.
"It's too early to say that I've succeeded. This is just the beginning. It's all thanks to the wonderful projects I was able to work on," said Lee as quoted by All KPop.
Lee began her entertainment career in 2008 after joining the Super Model Contest followed by the International Asia Pacific Super Model Contest and Unix Hair New Style Prize a year after. In 2014, the star entered the world of acting through the TV drama series “It's Okay, That's Love” and rose to fame for her promising performance in “Cheese in the Trap” and “Doctor Crush”.
Recently, Lee’s talent management agency YG Entertainment has confirmed that the model-turned-actress is in a relationship with her “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” co-star Nam Joo Hyuk. According to a source from the label as quoted by Soompi: “After checking with Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk, they confirmed that after being close friends since their modeling days, the pair recently developed romantic feelings for one another and are dating well now.”
