With The Walking Dead season 6 finale's cliffhanger, there are rumors that Steven Yeun's character Glenn will be killed off.
Below are hints and spoiler of the upcoming season 7 pointing to the beloved character's death.
First and foremost, Glenn was the unfortunate character that was killed off in the comic book's issue 100. Since the series has somewhat followed the book, there is a possibility that Glenn's fate must have been written even before they arrived at season 6.
The showrunner Scot Gimple said in March that "Let me put it this way: whatever it is, it's really just in service to being faithful to the comic book inasmuch as one can."
Secondly, Glenn's fate has always been 50/50. There were rumors that Glenn must have been killed off in the dumpster scene. But the return of the series revealed that Glenn managed to get out of the horde of zombies in one piece.
Also, the series' executive producer Scott M. Gimple has hinted that Negan killed a character and that the first few episodes of season 7 will focus on that character's death.
Furthermore, according to viewers, Yeun is the only one who has not been heard from since the season 6 finale. Both Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln have already commented on the cliffhanger including the fates of their respective characters.
Additionally, Yeun is the only one who has not been spotted on The Walking Dead season 7 set. There are reports that several members of the cast have already started shooting some scenes.
As a matter of fact, the show's official spoiler site The Spoiling Death revealed that the cast has already finished shooting episode 3.
Although two characters - Sasha (Sonequa Martin) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) have not been seen on the set yet, it is unlikely that the two will be killed off as Carl could not die and Sasha's character is just gearing momentum.
The Walking Dead Season 7 is set to premier on AMC on October 9.
