The upcoming thirteenth season of "Grey's Anatomy" will explore on whether Jackson and April will reconcile, following a difficult turn of events in the medical drama's previous run.
Series star Jesse Williams weighed-in on this issue, saying that there is always a chance for the fan-favorite couple. "It's day to day with Jackson and April," Williams told TV Line.
"They can have a very civil, mature conversation one moment, then be at each other's throats [the next], because real life is like that."
The actor also addressed the couple's fickle relationship, explaining that while they both carry frustrations and baggage, their attraction for each other still remains. Although the actor did not actually spoil fans about Jackson and April's future, it seems that there is a glimmer of hope for the duo - especially now that they are expecting their second child.
The previous season of "Grey's Anatomy" had been especially difficult and complex for Jackson and April, as the couple has been put through the rocky stages of marriage, the hellish stages of getting divorced and the inevitable meddling of Jackson's mother.
The news of April's pregnancy even made their relationship turn out for the worse, with Jackson questioning April's decision making. Clearly, "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 is not looking very bright for the ex-couple.
While fans wait for creator Shonda Rhimes to make a comment about this hot topic, there are still other good news to focus on about the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13. Recently, cast members James Pickens Jr., Chandra Wilson, Justin Chambers, and Kevin McKidd have inked new deals to remain as major players on the upcoming thirteenth season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
They will join lead star Ellen Pompeo, who has also extended her contract with the network; however, Sarah Ramirez has decided to exit the series to take some time-off.
"Grey's Anatomy" continues to be a top-ranking series for ABC, and its twelfth season was recorded as the network's highest-rated drama under the 18-49 demographic.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8PM on ABC.
