"Acting is my passion so thirty years from now, I would still probably be acting." This is how the hallyu star Song Joong Ki responded when asked during his recent visit in Taipei, Taiwan if where he predicts himself to be thirty years from now.
In an interview with Korean Herald, Joong Ki candidly said that he is greedy about acting and that he would love to challenge himself to do different. He has also been very vocal in admitting his negative traits, such as being rough around the edges, which is very much contradicting to the character he portrayed in the hit Korean drama "Descendants of the Sun."
In fact, he admits that he is "cold" and "aloof," but this attitude of his seems to be his strength rather than weakness, according to people who know him. They even described Joong Ki as a well-respected, honest, intelligent and deep-hearted person.
With his admission that he is the opposite of the Captain Yoo Si Jin whom many fall in love with, fans are worried that he is probably seen as a cold lover by his on-screen and rumored off-screen partner Song Hye Kyo.
After the success of their 2015 drama, Hye Kyo and Joong Ki have been constantly rumored to be dating in real life. However, despite the flooded speculations, the "Descendants of the Sun" leads have previously confirmed the contrary, but fans even went frenzy over his statement that he would love to act again with the Korean actress if she's okay with it. So far, the actress has been very silent about the issue until now. According to IBTimes, Joong Ki is currently having his vacation in L.A. with his staff.
Meanwhile, the Song Song couple has also been shaken with the number of speculations that a "Descendants of the Sun" sequel will be pushed through but without the two, as Hye Kyo will reportedly star in another Korean dram with Lee Min Ho, which led to start a MinKyo fever on the internet.
