CBS has announced that the "The Big Bang Theory" will join this year's Comic Con panel in San Diego to promote its upcoming tenth season. Meanwhile, creator Chuck Lorre echoed his thoughts about the rumors that the show will likely end after "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10.
Two months ahead of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10's premiere, CBS has added the hit sitcom to join this year's SDCC panel. However, cast members Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Mayim Bialik, Kunnal Nayar, and Melissa Rauch will not be joining the panel and the overall event, Digital Spy reported.
The network said that they will release a special video presentation on Friday, July 22 on the panel called "Inside The Big Bang Theory's Writing Room."
The absence of the entire cast was not addressed by the network, a fact that has spurred another speculation that this year will probably mark as the show's final participation at the convention. Series creator Chuck Lorre is not a huge fan of this ongoing "The Big Bang Theory" rumor, as he immediately dismissed the idea that the fan-favorite sitcom is about to conclude.
"I'm not going to presume to know how many years this has because it's ridiculous for me to guess," Lorre told The Hollywood Reporter.
"It's already gone beyond my wildest dreams so anything beyond this ... as long as everybody is having a good time and we're making a show we're proud of ... then it's worth continuing."
The long-running sitcom continues to be a top asset for CBS, as its ninth season has been ranked as the most watched scripted series on television with more than 20 million viewers per episode.
"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8PM on CBS.
