"Modern Family" will return in September with the possible reunion of Haley and Andy. ABC's official announcement of the new season's premiere date has also revealed the synopsis of the season.
The "Modern Family" teaser line by the ABC network went, "Will Lily ever attend another wedding with her Dad's?" According to fans, the statement has hinted fans that a possible reunion will happen. Also, fans will have to wait for a few months to see if a wedding is to happen or not, Christian Today reported.
In "Modern Family" Season 7, Lily stopped all of her dad's wedding invitation because this always embarrasses, especially when they dance during receptions. Rumors are also spreading that it is possible that a member of the Pritchett's and the Dunphy's will be getting married in the upcoming season, ABC reported.
Since Haley's father always liked Andy for his daughter, "Modern Family" Season 8 fans are expecting that the wedding will be on Haley's side with Andy's romantic proposal.
"Modern Family" Season 7 also featured Haley who was letting Andy pursue his dream job, while Mitch and Lily went to Kansas together with Cam and work as a defensive coordinator. Mitch has thought that the only way for them is to be together.
Julie Bowen, a "Modern Family" cast who plays Claire Dunphy, said during the FOX's Emmy campaign at Zanuck Theater in June that she always worries about the fact that she would not have "this good a job again." She also added that she has been worrying about this matter three years ago and it is her way of protecting herself.
"Modern Family" Season 8 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 21 on ABC. The premiere announcement reads as "Mitch, Cam and Lily will return from their summer stay in Kansas City."
