"Hawaii Five-0" has added Pakistani-American actor Faran Tahir to its guest cast in Season 7.
Tahir, who's recent credits include "Grey's Anatomy" and "Supernatural," is set to shoot with the cast and crew of "Hawaii Five-0" sometime this month. However, details about his character are still being kept under wraps.
Tahir can also be seen next on FOX's upcoming revival of "Prison Break" which just wrapped-up production recently. The actor shared that he will be shooting next for "Hawaii Five-0."
"The last 3 months have been fun location wise for me as an actor as I have been shooting for upcoming Prison Break in Vancouver and then Morocco," the actor told Samaa.
"Now will be heading out to beautiful Hawaii for the show Hawaii Five-0."
The casting news comes after "Hawaii Five-0" has also cast The OC alum Rosalind Chao to its forthcoming seventh run, TV Line reported last week.
Chao has landed a recurring role the cop drama, playing the role of Governor Mahoe in the new season. She will make her Hawaii Five-0 debut on the show's season seventh premiere.
"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 will explore the theme of legacy, executive producer Peter Lenkov has shared in a report last May.
It will also explore whether or not Chin will adopt the daughter of Gabriel and how the show will move forward following McGarrett's near death experience in season 6's finale.
"Hawaii Five-0", which also hails from executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, is a reboot of the 1980s cop series which follows the story of Det. Steve McGarrett as he returns to Oahu to investigate the murder of his father. The series stars Alex O'Laughlin, Chi McBride, Scott Caan, and Daniel Dae Kim.
"Hawaii Five-0" season 7 premieres on Friday, Sept. 23 at 9PM on CBS.
