World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) alum Cody Rhodes has landed a guest starring gig on the upcoming "Arrow" Season 5.
"Arrow" lead star Stephen Amell announced the casting news at the Heroes & Villains FanFest last week, telling fans and reporters that Rhodes will be appearing in "Arrow" Season 5 episode 3, TV Line reported.
However, Amell, who portrays Oliver Queen on "Arrow," did not disclose which character Rhodes will be playing. On a new behind-the-scene photo shared by the former wrestler on Twitter, he teased that he will be assuming the role of a villain in "Arrow" Season 5.
On a photo taken inside the gym, Rhodes is captured wearing a jacket printed with the words, "Team Rhodes" and "Destroy Queen."

Rhodes will join other "Arrow" Season 5 guest stars that includes Carly Pope ("Popular"), Josh Segarra ("Chicago PD"), Rick Gonzalez ("Reaper"), Chad Coleman ("The Walking Dead") and Tyler Ritter ("The McCarthy's").
"Arrow" Season 5 showrunners have not yet release a comment about the potential villainous role of Rhodes, so fans have yet to wait whether the former wrestler will be playing an iconic DC character.
Meanwhile, Amell recently gave fans a new set of intel about "Arrow" Season 5's new villain, teasing that they are introducing a Big Bad who is "a direct result of things that Oliver has done in Star City." The actor also talked about the first two episodes and he said that viewers will find Oliver and company refocusing their lenses on the core mission of the show.
"Arrow" Season 5, which hails from Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, also stars David Ramsey, Echo Kellum, Emily Bett Rickards, John Barrowman, Paul Blackthorne, and Willa Holland.
"Arrow" Season 5 premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8PM on the CW.
