Avid supporters of "Suits" already have an idea that Rachel and Mike are up for something really amazing for the season. Sadly, they did not tie the knot because of Mike's impending prison stint.
Meghan Markel, the actress who portrays Rachel in "Suits," has revealed the fate of her character at that point. Digital Spy can tell that in the original script, Mike, played by Patrick Adams, had married Rachel. However, Mike would serve his two-year prison stint afterwards, so Markel was troubled with what would happen to Rachel afterwards.
He believed that it would be unfair for Rachel and that Mike would not do that to her, Markel explained. In fact, the Suits' creator Aaron Korsh called the idea of getting the two married as "terrible," Korsh, who penned the finale, altered the same. And so... there was no wedding.
Markel reported wrote some of the finale lines herself, although she admitted that not all that she suggested found their way to the final version of the script. Nevertheless, she's still thankful that she, the cast, crew and Korsh are on the same way of thinking. "He respects that I'm not doing it for selfish reasons," Markel added in an interview with Digital Spy.
All the fans need to do is keep their eyes because Rachel and Mike will eventually get married sometime soon. As for now, "Suits" Season 6 will see the partners scramble to keep the firm running despite the fact that they'll be having no employees at all while dealing with piles of lawsuits, Movie News Guide reported. And aside from thinking of Rachel, Mike also has to deal with a friend he met in prison who wants nothing good for him.
