"The Walking Dead" Season 7 will feel way more different than the previous seasons, series star Jeffrey Dean Morgan revealed. The zombie drama is said to have added Khary Payton to its cast to play the role of comic book character Ezekiel.
Fans of "The Walking Dead" should brace themselves for a big change when the series returns October in our small screens. According to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the latest villain Negan, Season 7 is basically a "reset" of the show. He further warned that it's "f-cking Negan's world now."
According to Entertainment Weekly, Morgan previewed that "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will see his character "wreaking havoc" during the first half.
"And some of your characters that you've grown to love are not going to be on the show anymore, and it's going to end badly for them," the actor teased.
"It's going to be a whole new beginning for The Walking Dead."
In other "The Walking Dead" Season 7 news, the zombie drama has cast Khary Payton as comic book character Ezekiel, Deadline has learned. In the comics, the tiger-owning Ezekiel first appeared in Issue 108 as the leader of The Kingdom.
Fans of "The Walking Dead" first saw Payton as Ezekiel on the first trailer released at Comic Con last week. As to how he will figure into Negan and Rick's world in Season 7 is yet to be known. Payton's recent credits include DC's "Lego" movie franchise, "Transformers" and "Teen Titans Go!"
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9PM on AMC.
