The creator of "Pokemon Go" Niantic has made some shocking announcement, as it has barred the use of the tracking app Pokevision, which has caused a lot of disturbance among the fans.
With Pokevision, players could track creatures and also find its exact location. However, without access to the tracking app, tracking the creatures will not be possible, Mother board reported. Earlier this month, Pokevision announced that they would not be offering their service anymore. Moreover, Pokevision also clarified that the reason behind such decision was their desire to follow Niantic's decision.
The footsteps mechanism, which the player could use to get alerts players about the distance within which they will be able to find the monsters, was also removed after a new update of the game, Attack of the Fanboy reported. It is true that the mechanism was not of great help, but, with the tracking app, players had an alternative option of using the app in case they wanted to.
Players have now united together against Niantic and they took to Twitter to express their rage.
"Don't understand why Niantic wants it cut off, honestly I won't play the game if I can only find Zubats around me."
"Pokemon scene is over there will be no users in few days"
In other news, Niantic CEO John Hanke mentioned that he does not support the use of such tools and he feels that these hacks take away the fun element out of the game. Moreover, these tools might not work in the future.
In a way, what Hanke said is true, but the tracking apps did help players in locating the creatures. Moreover, with the in-game feature not working due to technical glitches, it was a major shortcoming and the reason that allowed the entry of other tracking apps.
