The latest "Fallout 4" DLC is now out and, with it, gamers can have more options for building their own vault. Aptly called "Vault-Tec Workshop," the downloadable content not only allow players to make their virtual home in the post-apocalyptic world more livable and comfortable, it also lets them conduct experiments.
For one thing, the DLC lets gamers build their own vault just about anywhere above-ground. According to iDigitalTimes, it's important to select the right location and to put a radio beacon to attract settlers. After that, there should be Vault-Tec Management System, found in Power > Miscellaneous, that can be used to manage settlers as well as the jobs given to them, but it needs a generator to work.
The same publication also reported that there are four main experiments that a gamer can do on their settlers, such as the Power Cycle 1000, the Slot Machine, the Soda Fountain, and the Photoropter, all of which can be found in the story mission.
To run a test, one must first built a Vault Overseer desk. They then have to power up a terminal and the object being tested, attach them together, select which of the three tests to conduct, and check the result in the computer in Vault Overseer desk. This features allows gamers to find out what makes an ideal citizen.
Moreover, according to IGN, gamers can track their companions without the need to perform the tedious process of entering codes on the console to search for them. The Vault-Tec Management System has an Access VIP tracker that lets a gamer place trackers on their companions and put a marker at their location.
The "Vault-Tec Workshop" DLC also lets the gamer scrap everything in Vault 88, freeing up space and letting them explore those hard-to-reach areas. Some places can be hiding creatures, however, so players are advised to have their weapons ready. They can then build an underground vault.
The "Fallout 4: Vault-Tec Workshop" DLC was released by game company Bethesda late last month and is now available for download for US$4.99.
