Activision released "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" 1 and 2 for PC and current-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last week, but the action role-playing game exhibited issues that disappointed many gamers. The game publisher has since been taking steps to remedy the situation.
"#UltimateAlliance fans, we hear you & are sharing your concerns w/ our friends at @Activision! Please stay tuned!" tweeted creative director Bill Rosemann over the weekend. He posted another one on Aug. 3, saying, "#UltimateAlliance fans, your voice was heard: PC patch has been deployed & DLC is en route!"

According to Game Informer, the patch for the PC version of the game has already been launched. It includes general improvements to the sound quality and it addresses crackling noises. There are also fixes to the disconnection or desync issues during online gameplay, and it makes player invitations better. Moreover, the patch improves controller mapping, addressing the problems with triggers for PC and controller buttons on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles.
Previously, the news outlet reported that the game did not properly recognize input from the controllers, and the map and keyboard could not be easily mapped. It also mentioned that the visual options from the original versions are not present in the new ones, and the characters exclusive to the Xbox 360 are not present. Moreover, achievements were missing from the Xbox One version.
"Marvel: Ultimate Alliance" was first released in 2006, and "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2" made its debut in 2009. The game lets playets create their team of superheroes from the Marvel comic universe, including the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Defenders, the Marvel Knights, and the Avengers. Playable heroes include Deadpool, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Captain America, and more. Some characters, however, are system exclusive or included in add-ons.
A DLC will be coming out for all three platforms some time within the next few weeks.
