Aside from the monumental hour, "Switched at Birth" Season 5 will also air a 90-minute episode on its series finale. Freeform has announced the extended final hour back in March when the series was officially cancelled. No word yet on how "Switched at Birth" will conclude the story of Bay and Daphne.
Meanwhile, "Switched at Birth" actress Vanessa Marano is set to reprise her role as April Nardini on Netflix's revival of "Gilmore Girls," Variety reported. It is unclear if Marano will be appearing in multi-episodes.
Back in April, Marano has teased what fans can expect from the return of her character at the MTV Movie Awards. According to the actress, April is now in college and is living the college life on the revival of "Gilmore Girls." As for her father, the first photos released by Netflix suggest that Luke is still on a relationship with Lorelai.

Marano's April first appeared in Season 6 of Gilmore Girls as the daughter of Luke (Scott Patterson). However, fans blamed April after Lorelai ended her relationship with Luke. It is now a big question if fans will feel differently about April when new episodes become available.
