Shueisha, the publisher of the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump, will be launching a new manga in its Bessatsu Margaret magazine this September.

According to Anime New Network, the upcoming series is called "Bye Bye Liberty," and it will feature two main characters, a girl and a boy, who apparently do not see eye to eye. It is created by Ayuko Hatta, the mangaka known for "Wolf Girl and Black Prince," serialized in the same Shōjo manga publication from October 2011 to May 2016.

"Wolf Girl and Black Prince" centered on a girl named Erika. New in school, she lied to her new friends about having a boyfriend. Kyōya, the aloof yet attractive guy on campus, agreed to pretend to be her beau, but only if she pretended to be his dog.

It remains to be seen what Ayuko Hatta has in store for her readers in "Bye Bye Liberty." The new series will debut on the next issue of Bessatsu Margaret on Sept. 13.

In other Shōjo manga news, entertainment company Viz Media has taken "Yona of the Dawn" to North America. According to the press release posted on Three If By Space, the first volume is now available under the company's Shōjo Beat brand, as well as on the VIZManga website, the VIZManga app, and on online bookstores. The next volumes will be published bi-monthly.

"Yona of the Dawn is a riveting series that adeptly combines strong lead characters with plenty of action, romance and royal intrigue to delight shojo manga fans as well as adventure lovers," VizMedia editor Amy Yu said in the press release and also on Facebook. "We look forward to fans of the popular anime adaptation as well as new readers joining us on Yona's journey!"

The manga was first published in August 2009 and is serialized on Hana to Yume magazine. Written by Mizuho Kusanagi, it centers on Princess Yona who, on her 16th birthday, witnesses her father being killed by her childhood friend and love interest Soo-won. Her bodyguard and also childhood friend Son Hak comes to her rescue and hides her in his village. After hearing the words of an oracle, they embark on the quest to find the four legendary dragons that previously unified the kingdom.

"Yona of the Dawn" has been adapted into an anime by Pierrot, the same company that made the "Naruto" and "Bleach" adaptations.
