"Fantastic Beasts" showcased some unseen magical creatures in the Harry Potter universe on its fourth major trailer at the Olympics.
The new trailer for the "Harry Potter" spin-off offers a better look on the adventures of the titular hero Newt Scamander (to be played by Eddie Redmayne) in 1920s New York. Scamander will track down fantastic beasts that presumably escaped his magical suitcase, Screen Rant reported.
The trailer also featured some wizarding action as Scamander swishes his wand spewing charms and casting spells towards Percival Graves (to be played by Colin Farrell). The trailer likewise teases a "hidden society that goes back centuries" that cuts to Henry Shaw Sr. (to be played by Jon Voight) looking at the magic spectacle in awe.
"I want to be a wizard," Dan Fogler's character Jacob says at the end. The tone of the film which is familiar in the "Harry Potter" films. This is not surprising since "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is more connected to "Harry Potter" than people may think, Independent reported.
Creator J.K. Rowling said in the post previews of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" that "Fantastic Beasts" is more of a prelude to the wizarding world in "Harry Potter." Needless to say, it will not be surprising to see a younger version Dumbledore or even Snape in "Fantastic Beasts."
"It's more preview-y I think than people realise," she said.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is Rowling's take on the wizarding world before the "Harry Potter" saga began. The film is slated to open in cinemas on November 18, 2016.
